“Daddy’s Little Girl” has grown up to occupy her position in WWE with the toughness and determination
that is now the standard for a McMahon…even when those attributes are necessary to overcome challenges from her very
own father!
It started with Stephanie turning her back on her father to side with hubby Triple H and begin the McMahon-Helmsley Era
in WWE. The war within the McMahon family continued when Stephanie tried to put her father out of business by purchasing ECW
and making it part of the Alliance…a move that would ultimately cost her job, as she left WWE television for many months.
Stephanie McMahon returned to WWE television to take over as the General Manager of SmackDown! and, during her administration,
was instrumental in bringing Superstars such as the Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle to SmackDown!
However, it is the rivalry with Mr. McMahon where Stephanie shined, refusing to back down and leave her position even when
her father made staying nearly impossible. The battle among the McMahons culminated with the first ever Father/Daughter I
Quit Match at No Mercy 2003 when Stephanie was forced to resign her position after her mother, WWE CEO Linda McMahon, threw
in the towel during the match while Mr. McMahon choked his daughter.
